‘Ecstatic’ is a word that could be used to describe the reaction of Maclean TAFE student, Karen Randall, as she shared the news of her acceptance into Uni for 2011.
Karen has been studying the Skills for Work and Training program at North Coast TAFE’s Maclean campus during semester 2 this year, after deciding that she needed to get her career aspirations moving forward.
Teacher, David Prosser said, “Karen has been a shining light in our SWAT group this semester”. “She is a quiet achiever with a wonderful personality, we will be sad to see her go, but so happy that she is taking the next big step in her career”.
Ms Randall said, “The support and guidance from the teachers at Maclean have really helped me in building my study skills and improving my confidence, plus the encouragement and support they gave me in seeking my goal”.
“I’m just so excited now, can hardly wait till next year starts”, Karen added
Karen will commence he studies in the Bachelor of Healing and Trauma at Southern Cross University in Lismore in 2011.
