Kempsey TAFE student Joanne Astorini has another award to add to her collection after receiving a prestigious Achievement Award at the North Coast Region’s NSW State Training Awards ceremony held recently at the Coffs Harbour Ex-Services Club.
Joanne’s success comes just a few weeks after being named North Coast TAFE’s overall Student of the Year (joint winner with Jamie Bradley) and Student of the Year in the Business Faculty.
In 2011 Joanne completed several courses at Kempsey TAFE including a Certificate II and III in Business Administration and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Joanne’s achievements have been praised and celebrated by staff and students, especially in light of her recent slow recovery from a transient ischaemic attack.
Surprised, but delighted, by the recognition Joanne acknowledged the encouragement and support given by TAFE teaching and counselling staff in helping her to reach her goals.
