For TAFE student Dan Stewart, the computing and multimedia courses he undertook over the last couple of years are really beginning to pay off as his career begins to take shape.

“Doing the TVET Multimedia course at TAFE while completing my HSC gave me the opportunity to fine tune what I wanted to do” Dan said.  “I’ve always been interested in computers and IT, but the multimedia design process is what I really found fascinating”.

Dan then went on to complete the Certificate IV in IT (Multimedia), in the process, entering one of his film clips about a skateboarding competition entitled ‘Sky High’ in a Coffs Council competition, leading Dan to be awarded a scholarship from electronics company Huawei.

“The scholarship has given me the opportunity further my photography skills with a Diploma in Photo Imaging and Bachelor of Photography at Griffith Uni” Dan said.

“My vision is to build my current wedding, portrait and landscape photography into a fully-fledged high-end photography business, based on the Coffs Coast, and my studies so far have really helped toward that goal”
