Maclean

A major fishing village and the centre of the sugar-growing district, Maclean provides water sports, fishing, sailing and scenic walks to residents as well as being only a short drive from the coastal towns of Yamba and Iluka.

About the campus

Maclean Campus lies on the banks of the river beside Maclean High School - with whom it shares a joint library. The campus specialises in information technology, office administration and school-based (TVET) courses as well as programs of study for the local Aboriginal community.

Clarence Valley Council

The Governor of New South Wales proclaimed Clarence Valley Council (CVC) on the 25 February 2004. This proclamation co-joined the former general purpose Council's of Copmanhurst, Grafton, Maclean and Pristine Waters and activities of North Coast Water and Clarence River County Council.
