This course is for people who want to develop the knowledge and skills to effectively operate in a variety of business settings, and who are seeking to further develop their skills across a wide range of business functions.

You can select electives from the areas of management, human resource management, marketing, advertising and business administration, among others.

When you finish this course you may be eligible to do BSB60207 Advanced Diploma of Business or other specialist Advanced Diploma qualifications in the Business Services Training Package (BSB07) such as management, marketing or human resources.

In addition, depending on units/electives completed in this course, you may be eligible for advanced standing in other courses and other Training Package qualifications. You may also be able to articulate to degree courses in Business or a related area.

There are no entry requirements for this qualification.

To give yourself the best chance of success it is recommended you follow the preferred pathways into this qualification.

Preferred pathways for students considering this qualification include: 
- BSB40207 Certificate IV in Business or other relevant qualification/s
- vocational experience in a range of work environments in senior support roles but without a qualification.

Examples of indicative jobs for students seeking entry based upon their vocational experience include:
- administrator, 
- project officer.

This breadth of expertise would equate to the competencies required to undertake this qualification.
