Retail Make-Up and Skin Care
This course is for people aspiring to work in retail, make-up and the skincare industry. You will learn how to apply make-up for a range of purposes and in a range of situations - for instance, for day or bridal wear, for remedial camouflage or for photographic work. You will also learn about the fundamentals of retail operations as they apply to selling skin care products and cosmetics. You will also learn how to demonstrate the use of a range of retail cosmetic products. You must complete all required units to receive the qualification. You must complete all core units and two elective units to receive the qualification. You may be able to do single units to suit your particular needs. People considering enrolment in beauty courses need to be aware that skills development will require students to practise on each other. This will necessarily involve touch but will always be practised and applied in accordance with industry codes of practice and ethics. Details will be provided to intending students during pre-enrolment information sessions or to enrolled students by the teacher.
