Horse Industry Management - Performance Horse
This course helps you develop the skills required to manage a small to medium sized equine business such as an agistment centre, training centre, horse stud,eco-tourist enterprise or transport company, or work in a management capacity in a larger equine enterprise.
You will learn how to manage equine nutrition, health, welfare, reproduction and conditioning/training as well as apply exercise physiology and training methodologies to ensure that maximum performance is gained from the horses being cared for.
You will also learn about business administration, finances, farm and facility management, human resource management and marketing.
By completing the course, you will be able to carry out a range of duties involved in managing the handling, feeding, grooming and caring for performance horses being prepared for competition events.
