| Entry Requirements: | Learners must either be in relevant employment or have access to appropriate workplace environments to achieve the completion requirements of this course. There are no formal educational requirements for entry to this course, however the Electrotechnology Training Package states that a prospective learner's general education and competency level should be equivalent to the outcome of four to five years of secondary school. |
| Selection Criteria: | Application for entry to this course will be assessed using the following learner selection criteria (in priority order). 1. Applicants currently employed as trainees. 2. Applicants currently employed in a relevant trade and having written evidence of their intention of obtaining apprenticeship/traineeship registration. 3. Applicants currently unemployed but holding current apprenticeship/traineeship registration. 4. Applicants actively seeking an apprenticeship/traineeship. 5. Applicants who have completed a trade course or have been formally recognised as tradespersons in a related trade course. 6. Applicants who have worked in the relevant industry but have no formal trade recognition. 7. Others. |
