Counselling and careers service

TAFE NSW students have access to a wide range of free counselling services.

Counsellors can assist students with;

• career planning
• study skills
• course articulation and credit transfer
• personal issues such as managing stress

• advice around financial matters.

Prospective students can also access the service for assistance with course planning.

Counselling sessions are confidential except where information is governed by government legislation and professional requirements.

Counsellors offer a range of class and small group workshops such as study skills, communication, career options and stress management.

TAFE counsellors can help you by:

• Listening to and clarifying your issues
• Identifying your goals and choices
• Assisting you to find the best possible solutions
• Identifying appropriate staff and agencies for referral.
